Setting Up the First Workstation

One of the most exciting parts of the pilot phase has been setting up our first dedicated electronics workstation.

The initial workstation includes:

  • a magnifying lamp

  • precision electronics tools

  • sorting trays

  • an anti-static work surface

  • organized work areas for small components

The purpose of this setup is to create a clean and focused environment for:

  • device inspection

  • safe disassembly

  • organization

  • documentation

  • hands-on learning

During this phase, we are emphasizing:

  • patience

  • careful handling

  • workspace cleanliness

  • safety awareness

  • organization habits

Rather than immediately attempting advanced repairs, the goal is to first build strong foundational skills and operational discipline.

We are also learning how professional workflows often depend just as much on organization and documentation as technical ability.

Future additions to the workstation may include:

  • labeling systems

  • inventory tracking

  • anti-static equipment

  • cleaning tools

  • testing stations

  • device intake procedures

This workstation represents the beginning of the project’s hands-on learning environment and operational development process.
